About Jesus Martinez
With seven years of experience as a specialty barista and four as Head Barista, Jesus Martinez is a well-known figure on the competitive scene. His CV includes a 3rd place at the Hario Competition (2022), victory at the Oatly Throwdown (2023), and three appearances at the National AeroPress Championship, reaching the semi-finals in 2025.
As well as being a competitor and holding SCA Sensory Basic certification, Jesus also shares his knowledge as a judge in Latte Art competitions. Since December 2025, he has channelled all this experience into his own establishment in Lisbon, the Drop Specialty Coffee and Brunch, where technique and hospitality meet.
