Frutto Forastero is a specialty green coffee importer based in Barcelona, founded in 2020 as a result of over fifteen years of prior experience in the coffee sector in Argentina. This international journey has shaped its understanding of the market, giving it a deep insight into the origin, product, and people who make up the coffee value chain.
Your work focuses on bringing roasters closer to the origin, building direct and lasting relationships with producers and cooperatives, through a commitment to real and transparent traceability. Each selected coffee meets demanding criteria for quality, identity, and consistency, seeking profiles that faithfully express its territory, variety, and processing method.
From the outset, the company established a partnership with the family of Pedro Humberto Veloso, coffee growers in the Cerrado Mineiro region of Brazil, where it deepened its knowledge of the region's coffee identity and the value of lot-by-lot traceability. This experience consolidated a philosophy of co-growth, valuing long-term partnerships that allow for continuous improvement in product quality.
Currently, Frutto Forastero has expanded its operations and, in addition to Brazil, carefully selects profiles from Colombia, Rwanda, Kenya, and Peru. Its mission remains the search for lots that represent the diversity, quality, and distinctive character of specialty coffee worldwide.
